EIS (English for International Students) offers full-time and part-time general English and IELTS courses.  

Full-time Courses (16 hours per week)

We offer full-time general English from elementary to advanced level.  These courses provide a rich and varied programme which centre on the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking), vocabulary development, grammar, pronunciation, Welsh and British culture, learner training and self-access, exam practice and tutorials.  

EIS also offers a full-time IELTS course which includes listening, speaking, reading & writing with an academic focus, study skills, vocabulary development, grammar, cultural awareness and global issues, learner training and self-access, exam practice and tutorials.  

There is also an IELTS Intensive course which runs in the third term only.  This course, which focuses on effective exam skills and test preparation, is aimed at intermediate students. 

Part-time Courses

EIS also offers a range of part-time day and evening courses which include:-

• General English for intermediate to proficiency level students (3 or 4 hours per week)
• IELTS Preparation and Study Skills (3 hours per week)
• Speaking & Pronunciation ( 2 hours per week)
• Writing Skills (3 hours per week)
